Who is Regan Huston?
I am dedicated to producing the stories of the unheard. I am dedicated to not just surviving, but blossoming. I have known my whole life that I am meant to work hard in order to achieve greatness, and that’s exactly what I plan to do.
I believe that everyone has a story worth telling. Here is mine.
I was born in Chicago on one of the snowiest days of the year in 1998. My birthday falls on lucky number 13 and my parents named me after their favorite horror movie, “The Exorcist.” From a very young age, it seemed that I was meant to carve my own path. That’s exactly what I am doing.
I love journalism. I know what it’s like to feel…unheard. My siblings are 10 and 12 years older than me, so I was oftentimes the left out one of the bunch. I’m of mixed heritage. I’m from a lower income family. I’m a first-generation college student. But above all, the thing that makes me feel inspired to be heard most is that I am a hard worker.
So while some may think it’s odd to be named after one of the most iconic horror films of the 20th century, or that Friday the 13th sends shivers down my spine, I embrace it. I am unique and will be heard as I help others tell their stories across all multimedia channels.
